Today was fun. Went thru some 300 rounds. The 17HMR took several pdogs and flipped a wabbit in the air a few revolutions. The 22-250 did what it does best. Blow shit apart. Here's a fun little hole at 200 yards that I camped on for a bit. After killing the first one, I proceeded to take out the next four, (or was it five?), as each came out to check on the last. Pretty sure this last one didn't feel anything. Not for very long anyways.

MY FEEDBACK
I was out for my first p-dog shoot yesterday as well. At one point I went 5/5 and 4/6 a half-hour later, but averaged closer to 2 shots/1 kill for the day. I guess I can't complain for using a POS leapers 3-9x scope... My furthest confirmed was 245m, my host's was 280m, both shooting .223. It was a literal blast!

I got out Monday for a half day and sent 120 of the rats to sod poodle heaven by way of .17 power.

they don't get shot at much and the youngin's ain't got a clue.![]()
It was pretty toasty out there on the plains yesterday. Longest shot of the day was only about 220 yards, but still went double digits easily, including a bunch of head shots, (peeking out of their holes), and a nice (1) shot/ (2) kills at about 150 yards. Both the Browning 17 HMR and Mossberg MVP Patrol .223 contributed to the body count. I could have stayed longer as the action was still steady, but after (9) hours of baking in the sun, I started feeling some mild heat exhaustion, so decided to call it a day.

Buckaroo, have you ever shot a local prairie dog match?
