    As long the gun throws brass 3 to 4 o'clock of the gun, it's all good.

    I have a middy, and I went to Bowers, the guys there told me to go with the flat spring that they carried. I use that with a standard carbine buffer. Perfect ejection.

    Also, I love that chart.

    I tried the carbine buffer/spring I had and the gun works fine. Put 50 rounds through it, brass all goes back to the same spot at about 4 o'clock. Really a cool feeling to build a gun on your own and have it work, cycle like it should and be pretty dang accurate. Kind of like building your own flyrod and tying your own flies and catching fish on them.

    Darn right, That's why i recommend that everyone build their first AR. It can be hard figuring out what buffer/spring to use, but like i said before, that's why I recommend the guys at Bowers.
