....I just saw it on the news, and they're reporting 12 dead. The gunman was shot, but survived, and is in the hospital right now.
They say there are two other suspects at large.

A few minutes ago a female commentator on MSNBC was calling for new gun control and lamenting how the senate failed to pass common sense legislation that was expressly drafted to prevent this type of mass killing from happening and now look what has happened.

How could he possibly get a gun in there? This makes no sense. Don't you have to go trough a scanner to get in? Did he kill all the guards on his way though the front door?
sounds like he was a contractor (or former contractor). if he had a CAC card he could just drive through the front gate, with security just inspecting his ID but with whatever in the trunk of his car. Base security doesn't strip search everybody going through the gate as long as they have valid ID.
