It'll be interesting to see what kind of story they come up with for this one... Who is involved, what are their backgrounds, how are they associated (NRA or RMGO ties? gave money to RonPaul? etc).

No matter what the story is, I'll bet my life savings that nothing good for America will come from this...

To be fair, when I headed to the airport this AM, Fox also stressed that the weapon had been identified as "like" an AR rather than as an AR. In fact, they noted some witnesses reported bursts like an M-16. Sure would be nice if just one network had a reporter familiar enough with guns to clear the air of BS immediately instead of having to be precautionary.

She talked about hot not just anyone could come on. How the shooter needed to have creds but could have also been prior service and kept an id (possible if recently discharged or fired.) Also talked about entry logs and vehicle searches iirc.

Multiple shooters rules out lone nutbar.

Organized terrorist attack? IIRC AQ, MB and Syria all swore to attack the U.S.

My guess is this is going to be a lone disgruntled employee or wife left him deal. Haven't seen any credible reports of the other shooters other then one person said they thought they saw a man running with a pistol. With all the panic and confusion it's hard to tell.

What's changed? I thought they identified "the" shooter (speculation about multiple shooters still in air) as former Navy "official" whose status had "recently changed". That suggests to me that he exploited the security system by being familiar with it and the people and that it was a rage assault. Those are random and hard to protect against but why people often aren't given as much notice as they'd like and why you often see security present when someone is let go.

....I just saw it on the news, and they're reporting 12 dead. The gunman was shot, but survived, and is in the hospital right now.

They say there are two other suspects at large.
