You say this in a thread about the third legislator in Colorado history to face recall PRECIOUSLY because of the BGC law (along with the others). No, it would not be political suicide for anyone to try to repeal the BGC law ... it may be difficult, but frankly any politician that tries will be a flippin' hero to a large chunk of Coloradoans.
I also don't buy the "many gun owners/supporters approve of it" bit either ... most of the "even most gun owners support BGCs" nonsense is about supporting Brady checks at gun shops, not UNIVERSAL BGCs. And even then I think its more about them being asked in polls if they approve of "laws to keep guns out of the hands of criminals" in the generic sense.
