I don't doubt there are SOME that support the BGC law (there's been Fudds for years), I just dispute that it's "many" (and clearly not "most") but even then there's a big difference between supporting a law in the abstract and fighting for a law. I would bet that most of those gun owners that support the law are not likely to march in the streets to keep it nor hold it against a politician that voted against it.
The fight ain't over, but our side is a hell of a lot stronger than many here seem to think. Of course maybe this is how the once proud state of California fell ... not from the strength of the leftists but from the defeatism of the right. If I thought this fight couldn't be won I'd already be plastering the SLC, Boise and Coeur d'Alene areas with my resume and emailing realtors (and keep in mind I'm generally a pessimistic guy ... just ask my wife).
