Mike McAlpine. I worked with him doing volunteer recruiting during the first attempt. I haven't gotten in touch with him again, but the recall is up and running again as of today. I spoke with Susan, who is working with him, this afternoon. RMGO has apparently pledged to hire paid petitioners if the volunteer base isn't properly established, but I think this is a case of Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

The have to collect a large number of signatures. I'm betting it will take paid help even if they have a good volunteer base. Wishing them luck and if time frees up I will volunteer again.

I'd be all for the recall but is it "going to the trough" one too many times?

This thought has ran through my head a few times. We've got some momentum for the midterms after the first recalls. I think Hudak will be tougher, and if the recall is unsuccessful, does that swing momentum back to the Dems?

The first recall election in CO history was successful. The message was sent. I'd hate to loose that momentum by being greedy. Take care of business at the next election.

The reckless behavior demonstrated by Senator Hudak during consideration of SB13-213 is absolutely disturbing.

This will be one that will need a lot of help. Not because she is entrenched, but I think due to the population of her district we will need a lot to get her out. If this is organized I will be willing to throw a couple bucks at this for sure.

Correct me if I am wrong but if she is replaced with an R, it would then be even in terms of votes right? No more crazy gun bills could get passed then? I have no doubt that the Ds would make her step down as to not risk losing her seat.

An R replacement flips the balance.

Wouldn't flipping Hudak's seat take away the majority? Right now the only thing stopping Dems from ramming through more awful crap is their fear of re-election. Bloomy could give them each a million bucks they day after they leave office.
