I host my companies email and websites . no blocked ports no BS .
Everyone has different levels of success with any of the providers. I kicked DSL to the curb after 18 months of pure hell and switched back to Comcast and it is 99.999% reliable. FWIW, I have their Tm702G/CT cable modem (docsis 3.0) and I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to power cycle it. I run Internet and voice on the service.

I also run a Linksys WAP51G access point (and several other bridges/game adapters) with zero issues. Off hand, I'd guess we have about 20 devices out on the network and just don't see any problems since switching back to Comcast. My biggest pain is the Watchgard SOHO firewall box that doesn't release users licenses (25) properly and requires an occasional reboot.

When it finally died, it took them 7 weeks to get us a new line which is a 1" conduit very well insulated but we never hooked it up, went with Quest Bundle and have had same speed Comcast was up here in the Mountains, however their supplied modem sucks, still using a older one we had.
I'm running 25Mbps (paid) speed over wire installed in the early/mid 90's in this neighborhood. On the other hand, Qwest could never keep the copper up and running.

To the OP, maybe it's time you asked for the telephone number and e-mail to the executive offices of Comcast to lodge a fomral complaint about the service.

    Aftermarket high-throughput router+aftermarket antenna=speed
Fiber optic, private ISP=god tier speed and packet transfer

Speaking of packets, packet loss is probably 75% of the problem in most slow speed issues. Cleaning up your protocols and having an ISP that isn't trying to serve 460,000 customers at once would be very helpful. I am also stuck with Comcast for the time being, but there are ways to circumvent abysmal interwebz issues.

Just remember the speedtest.net is to your local comcast CO and not representative of the speed you're going to get going out of Denver.
