From what I know about Denver sheriff they have no 'patrol' units.
from DSD website.
The Denver Sheriff Department
The Denver Sheriff Department is responsible for the care, custody and transport of prisoners for the City and County of Denver. The department is comprised of three divisions:
County Jail Division
The County Jail Division is responsible for the long term care and custody of prisoners and is the holding facility for convicted felons awaiting transfer to theColorado Department of Corrections, Alternative Sentencing Programs and Community Corrections.
The Downtown Division
The Downtown Division is comprised of the Van Cise-Simonet Detention Centerwhich is the prisoner intake center where prisoners are processed into the system and housed until such a time that they are able to make bond, or have been given an advisement by the court. The Civil Division , Court Services Unit and the Correctional Care Medical Facility (located at Denver Health) also reside under the Downtown Division.
Technology, Support and Special Projects Division
This Division is responsible for the Department's overall administration and special projects, the Training Academy and the Vehicle Impound Facility.
DSD does not have any patrol units. That is entirely up to DPD. Sheriffs deputies are not even required to be POST certified.
Light a fire for a man, and he'll be warm for a day, light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life...

"The deputy frisked the man and searched him and then permitted him to leave without seizing evidence."
Dude gets a gun pointed at his head by a guy claiming to be a cop, with no uniform or badge... Gets out of the car, submits to a search, and then just go's about his day?!
What the fuck is wrong with that guy?
They both should have used their brains..
