All,
I forgot a batch of .308 brass and it tumbled in corn cob media for about 12 hours. Should I toss it or reload it?
Thanks,
Norseman

Anything wrong with it other than being really shiny? Should not be an issue. Sometimes I put in my brass overnight and let it tumble away. As long as you are only using corn cob and not tumbling it in a chile roaster, there should not be a problem.
I did the same with some 30-06 brass. Didn't hurt it a bit. Just extra shiny!
That's all? Just 12 hours?
You make me laugh....
I've tumbled stuff for 2 to 3 DAYS.
You'll be ok.
Sent from my teepee using smoke signals.
It's all ruined. Send it to me for proper disposal.

Thanks for the responses! My Lyman tumbler documentation said something about tumbling too long and scratching the brass up....meh...I'll reload then.

You get the added advantage of having something shiny on hand if a woman of loose morals ever walks by your garage. AM radio, antlers and piles of lead certainly aren't going to do the trick... but if you can get the "OOOOoooOOOH, SHINY!!!" response, you should be good to go.
Man, I miss Conifer Jack... God rest his smarmy soul.
Seriously, I've left 'em tumbling overnight more than a few times. No worries.
Send them to me. I will run some "tests" on them and send them back good and dirty. Just to make sure they are safe.![]()
