    Default Question about 6.5-284

    I have two.

Are 6.5-284 Norma and 6.5-284 Win the same? They seem to be. I see dies in one and brass in the other.

Is it a long or short action cartridge?

Same same , designed as a short action case but really needs to be in a long action to take advantage of the case capacity and high BC bullets . Norma brass is soft and never my first choice .

Thanks Chuck. I have a friend with one in a custom rifle built on a short action. I knew something was funny.

It works but you got to single load and its almost impossible to unload a live round .
