Shut Down

I work in quality assurance. No products move unless we sign off on them. In the earlier shutdowns QA was considered essential and we worked not knowing if we were going to get paid. This time everyone in my command is furloughed unless they are paid with funds that do not need annual appropriations. That means that our "Keystone program" interns are working while the people who are supposed to train them sit at home. All emails get an out of office reply telling them to contact our commander, a USAF full Colonel. Only the trainees and military are there, none of who can give the okay for products to move. Billions of dollars in satellites, airplanes, tanks, munitions, uniforms...all of it is just sitting. I didn't draw a short straw, we all did.

I'm honestly surprised that is not considered "essential" .... or did they reduce staff to a min level and you drew one of the short straws??? ( this is an honest question)

I'm glad the republicans did this, but I can't figure out why they did it. We all know they're going to fold and do everything Obama wants, and so unless they intended to go all the way with this it's pretty pointless. And I know they don't intend to go all the way.

If anything, Obama gets more out of this than he would have otherwise. Maybe that's the reason? How do you appease the tea party while at the same time giving Obama everything he wants, and more? Because I know the republican parasites want the same thing Obama wants, but they also want to get re-elected. They can say "we fought it as hard as we could!" They couldn't have said that without a shutdown.

That's funny because I was scheduling a tow yesterday and the driver's GPS wouldn't find the address I gave him. I thought he was on crack but it's YOUR fault. . JK, obviously. But interesting to know why it may not have been working.

The way President Obama and Senator Reid are creating an artificial budget crisis to score political points is unconscionable.

It is beyond ridiculous that the Administration has paid to barrycade open air monuments and parks much less attempt to close facilities that require no federal funding to operate. The fact President Obama chose to fund NPR over the NIH is downright evil.

I demand you vote -- and pressure Senator Reid -- to fund government functions all sides agree are critical and necessary. You can convene a conference to discuss funding the functions that are disputed

But when do we, as a nation, plan to get the fuck out of debt? Sure, lets blame the dems for hard prick dick sucking wanting to GIVE everybody everything, and blame the Rpubs for BLOCKING progress and hurting all these folks by squabbling about bullshit.

Quick, everybody!! Lets get all these horrible elected officials who retain their fat cat fucking salaries and high end healthcare, and non social security paying fuckwads.....to all agree to RAISE the debt ceiling again, so we can keep doling out money to useless fucking nations, in all kinds of full retard aid....for what? A base with a few airstrips in a strategic location? Some backing in the U.N.? (which we fund most of anyways)... fucking PR?........ gobs of money for disasters around the world, and when shit hits the fan here at home......Bullshit response, our own people in really bad shape....the nonsense horseshit will never end.
