they can run, but the people are starting to become more aware. they awoke a giant. I fully expect CO to go fully republican the next go around and they will see what it feels like to get bills jammed down their throats.

oh, and midget bloomberg doesn't have a chance if hillary runs against him.

The one thing that might keep it out of Democrat hands is a MAIG activist being the Democrat nominee. I had a couple Manitou loons get in my face on election day with one of them saying, "we LIKE him here!" .... yeah, not so much. There were a whole lot of Dems in that district who were pissed off by Morse's Bloomberg-driven agenda. The election wouldn't even have been close if they hadn't been running CC students down in shuttles all day or if everyone who signed the petition turned out to vote. The one thing that might seal it for Merrifield would be for the Libertarians to play spoiler like they did in 2010.

The repubs will no doubt pick up some seats in the Senate and the House but I don't think the swing back to red will be as dramatic as we need... Hope I am wrong.

We should be so lucky as to have Bloomberg put all of his eggs in one basket for a presidential run.

Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen. Given his immense wealth Bloomberg can afford to wage a war of attrition against the NRA pretty much indefinitely. Because he can spend them under the table, he's bound to be able to swing a few elections.

Hate to say it, but we're in for a long and difficult fight.

I hope you are wrong too, but I also suspect you are correct.

folks in SD-11 need to change their party affiliation to (D) and make sure this guy wins the primary. I think a mildly moderate (D) would lock SD-11 where as this guy is so extreme and so deep MAIGS pocket that if he won the primary, I don't know if he would win in the general.

Just an update on this. We have had a guy come around promoting him. He talked about how well liked he was in Colorado Springs. I informed him that this was not Colorado Springs. Of course we get both parties since when they work off the list our house shows up on both. I saw the picture and thought Whoa, this guy has one foot in the grave.

Fast forward to today. The wife gets this big color brochure and the first picture shows him with a white female and a black male student. In big letters and all through the text it talks about "Common Sense Solutions".

Then I turn to the back page and went HOLY SHIT! You take a look and tell me what you see. First pic is from the brochure. Click image for larger version.
