What airline permits 50lbs of ammo as checked baggage? I wouldn't assume this unless you get it in writing.

United checked firearms policy permits only 11lbs of ammo.
    My Feedback
Credit TFOGGER : Liberals only want things to be "fair and just" if it benefits them.
Credit Zundfolge: The left only supports two "rights"; Buggery and Infanticide.
Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."

Only Alaska Air. I've taken up approximately 50 lbs of ammo with them 15-20 times now. I also ship it up with them on occasion but it is a lot more expensive. I've taken up more than 11 lbs of ammo when I have traveled with a firearm through several other airlines and never been questioned about the weight, but with Alaska Air I just put the factory boxes in a cardboard box and tape the heck out of it. TSA always opens it, but they tape it back pretty well.
