Yep, they are one in the same just separated by what different people in different times, places, call them. Some are quieter than others, and some can be taken apart and stuffed. Also, the best stuffing is fiber blanket, the stuff used as a flame insulator.

Yes, he could be. However, I don't believe that posting it up publicly and having a bunch of web commandos storm in and give this guy an impromptu lesson is the proper way to handle it. Remember he said his wife works for the AG, so he took it on high authority that the law does not hold any weight. He said so adamantly and repeatedly. An expert/group of people with credentials needs to approach this with tact.

Btw I've scouted several shops in the area and so far none I've asked will be adhering to the magazine ban. They obviously haven't read the law, because they are using tactics like "buy x and a magazine comes with it" or "buy x and we'll gift you a mag" or this guy. " there is no law, it's unenforcable and illegal". A test case/sting is just waiting on the DA to decide they want it.

    I don't care if he's wrong/stupid/insane/etc.

I'd probably still buy mags from this guy (paying cash of course).

    1. Decent selection, decent prices on firearms

    2. FN PS90 on the shelf, with 50rd magazine. He adamantly declares that there is no such law restricting magazine transfer. That the Dick act makes it invalid. His wife works for the atty general so he knows these things. He can order anything You like 30, 60,90 rd mags.

    3. He's a class 3 dealer. He can order you a suppressor, but not a silencer. A suppressor will reduce the report of a firearm by 53%, but a silencer will reduce the report by 97%. Btw the difference (and he shouldn't be telling me this) is to take a suppressor apart and stuff the baffles with steel wool.

I almost couldn't hold a straight face. I thanked him for his time and left when someone came in to pawn some shotgun shells.

My Dad shot "at" an antelope with a 7mm Mag many years ago. We saw the dirt splash above his head on the hillside, but he fell down dead. We walked over and could find no bullet hole anywhere. We were stumped. He tagged it, dressed it and we put it in the truck, and there was no blood inside, no holes anywhere. It was not until we got home that we realized the skull plate was fractured. While we like to say that all you have to do is get close with the 7mmMag, we think it is probable that the bullet clipped the horns and we just could not find any evidence of it.

Reminds me of a time where we were doing goat eradication on the island of Kahoolawe in HI back in the early 80s. I shot at a goat from 100 yards and missed by 3 feet, but the goat died just the same. He was laughing so hard at my marksmanship that he fell off a cliff and died when he hit the rocks below.
