The thing that makes me sad about ole Boner is that if he would have taken a hard line from the start and been the "Tea Party Speaker" then future generations would have whispered his name in the same hushed and reverent tones reserved for Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Ronald Reagan. Not to mention all the good things he could have done.

Instead he's hated by both sides and whenever he leaves the house most people will be "good riddance ya schmuck".
