    PUSSIFICATION

    No balls allowed at recess...unless they're Nerf. And no cartwheels without supervision!!! Can't have that!

    I guess they'll have the kids walking around in chainmail next so they won't trip and impale themselves on their pencils.

    Yeah, I'm continuously asking about what they learned today so I can see what's up and give them my side if necessary.

    When I gave my 8yo a .22 for his birthday, he told everyone he could see the next day at school. That didn't go over well...and I didn't give a shit.

    Isn't that the truth. Our school system is so broken. I am thinking that the revolution will be underway before I have kids so I am not too worried either way.

    For the most parit I agree with what has been said in this thread. But I believe the real root cause is our litigious society. Schools are more afraid of parents sueing the schools when their kid gets hurt than the actual injuries the kids might sustain.

    Hunh...we played "Smear the Queer", rode bikes without helmets, played full contact basketball, and a million other things, and nobody got maimed or killed. No spree shooters in my class, either...what a coincidence
