Photography cannot be forbidden. Whoever told you you were not allowed to photograph was wrong - cop, park ranger or Gestapo.

Oh trust me. I know they were wrong (DC Cop) - and I would have been more than happy to debate with them and cause a ruccus. I follow Carlos Miller's stuff and am very aware of my rights...

That said there is a time and place for some things - and in the company I was with it wouldn't have been the best choice for me at the time.

What I find even more sickening is that all the AP pictures conveniently miss all the Mexican flags, and I think that is why they are using the stock pictures for most of the stories going around. I was trying to get a picture of a group standing on an American flag (using it as a blanket/mat on the ground) while holding up a Mexican flag and yelling at all the 'white' people walking by. There were lots and lots of mexican flags flying high. Rangel was there glad handing and telling them to keep up the good work and more protection service types were showing up rapidly - meaning Pelosi and the others were coming.

Why must people resort to racist insults, and visualizing persons floating at the top of ceilings? We may strongly disagree with someones policys but I wish them no harm.

Sadly, sometimes extreme hatred, such as that being bred/fostered by our fearless leader, will elicit extreme emotions and/or actions which would otherwise remain contained.

I'm not condoning racial slurs, however, it's part of their playbook: they're pushing & raising the issue, expecting these kinds of retorts. When we stoop to responding in a racial manner, it fuels their fire...

Note the irony, however, of the underlined above: those words describe 'their' status quo & modus operandi! (I'm not attributing these things to you, asmo).

So, when we respond "in kind", it gives them legitimacy that they truly don't deserve...
