    Default RE: AMMO SHORTAGE

Just got back from Tucson where we bought a home to winter in (Green Valley). While there I stopped in at Wal-Mart and Dick's. Both had plenty of ammo, except .22lr, with no limit. I stocked up on 9, 40 and 45. They both had .223/.556 and other rifle calibers as well.

I noticed the same thing at gun stores in Idaho in June. There didn't seem to be much of a shortage of anything, anywhere.

I was in Florida a few weeks back and they were just as dry as we are (if not worse).

Where to check will really depend on which route you will be taking. ???

Dunn's Sporting Goods in Pevely, MO is on your route (ok a slight detour) and had Varget (among other things) on the shelf the last time I was there a few weeks ago. Also, if you are driving through St. Louis you should stop at the Cabelas. Not the cheapest, but had everything I wanted in stock.
