Meh, All these shows just like "Doomsday Preppers" are out there to entertain, so therefore they add as much drama into it as possible and find the most extreme cases to show. That does not mean that I cannot learn something from it to add to my plans.
Just a thought. I ignore all the stupid stuff and look for something I can learn.
I'll be watching.
It'll probably be as sensationalist crap as Doomsday Preppers is, making preppers look nuts and in general doing nothing to help people really realize they should be prepared. I'll probably still watch it, but don't have high expectations. Just hoping to learn a thing or two more in between the "extremism" Hollywood like to air.

Not to derail the thread, but has anyone heard if the folks trying to make "Lights Out" into a movie have had any success with their funding? Now that's a movie I'd like to see and I think it'd make a great mini-series! Mix in a bit of Rawles' "Patriots" stories, and I think it'd be a winner! But not for the masses of sheeple probably.

All the above. I had posted in the thread regarding the prepared expo the Lights Out crew was there, shaking hands and raising funds. Seems a bunch of arfcom members were used for the gun scenes.

AAA has a big diesel generator for power outages. I was there one time when the power went out and they immediately got on the phone to secure a place that would deliver diesel on the regular as long as they needed it.
