Good chance that if were sold it was from the Monforts to Monfort Aviation. This would allow the A/C to be operated on demand as a charter.

I have several clients that own jets.. None of them personally own them, they are all owned by such and such Aviation LLC.. and so on. Same thing with their homes, they all rent from some property management company. I doubt they were ever under the Montforts name as far as ownership goes, way to much legal and tax liability. If the plane goes down whoever is on it at the time can only go after the aviation company.

I use to fly for a family that owned a couple of Jets ( Hawkers ). These aircraft were owned by the family, not a business. The trend over the last decade or so is to use jet management companies. I have no doubt the Monforts are smart enough to utilize a separate entity to "own" and control their aircraft, especially if other people are flown aboard for liability reasons. Everyone knows corporate pilots suck......just kiddin

How do you know that Monfort let the Giffords use the plane for free? Monfort could just as well have leased the plane to whatever group sponsored the Giffords' trip.

    There are clearly anti-gun republicans.
But does anyone know of any pro-gun dems? Yeah, Harry Reid blows a lot of smoke with the NRA, but truly pro-gun libs?

Have you been to Missouri, Kentucky or Tennessee? They have all recently passed pro gun laws that were heavily backed by Dems.
