    Default Plastics and paint

    So...

I have something made out of "ABS plastic". Can it be hydro-dipped painted, or spray painted, or... what/help?

Ok, ok... it's a trumpet made out of plastic (google "Tiger Trumpet") and I'd like to get one hydro-dipped (or whatever) in a camo finish?!?!?!?! Is it do-able?!?!?!

    HAHAHAHA...

It should be doable in hydro. Painting ABS plastic, requires lots of prep, or having an auto body hook up.

For sure you could dip it. And a guy with an air brush and some model paints could do almost anything if he had skill.

if you want to paint it, you need to use paints with flex additives like bumper paint.

Go to a local hobby shop and look for spray paint that is designed for painting clear RC Car bodies made of lexan. That paint is flexible and will stick to plastic well.

I used duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint to paint my AICS skins and it worked pretty good
