Didn't you quit your job to move on? if so; it's a good thing! Grow.....
Yeah, this^^. Best of luck. I expect you'll do well. Most of my regrets are from things I didn't do, and I'm glad about the the things I did that were the scariest to "take the leap" on. Better to regret something you at least had the balls to try, than to regret something you wish you tried, but didn't.
You know my opinion, this if done right will be an upward move. The first year will make or break you, just look at it as load development for that new shootin iron.

Shit I've been at my job for 15 years. I've made some great friends, met my wife at work. It will be a tough one if and when I leave. For the time being its stable, i still get raises and it pays the bills.
Good luck on your next adventure. Let's go shooting!

My Feedback
Shit if I find a job paying more, the same or even a few dollars less then I make now I am fuckin gone! About 10 of the 20 people I work with are all applying for the same job on 11/1 so I have to make sure the others can't make the interview haha. Good luck and don't look back.
I got my first "real" job 4 1/2 months after graduating from High School, and stayed with that company for the next 13 1/2 years. It was the kind of company where it WAS a family. Leaving was not my choice, as the changes in management bankrupted the company, and I stayed to the end. Being in middle management, I was tasked with closing stores and telling people that they no longer had jobs. Easily the hardest thing I've ever done. For the last 17 years, I've worked for myself, and it's definitely had its ups and downs. I still keep in touch with a lot of the guys I worked with back at the old company, and put to use the training and experience that I gained there every day. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and congratulate you on taking this difficult step. It sounds cliche, but it's true that for every door that closes, another one opens.

Not sure about flaming you, but congratulations on taking risk for a better future.
Thanks guys. It's been a tough day. All the emails I've gotten... Holy crap I've never had allergies this bad!
For those of you that are asking, I'm leaving my job at the Adams County Sheriff's Office and going to the Department of Justice... Leaving the County for the Feds.
