AR-15 pistol recommended sight?

My husband just got an LAR-15 10.5" A4 pistol. I'm looking for opinions on what sight to put on it. We're thinking about a eotech 557.AR223. Will this be good? Any other suggestions appreciated. Also, wondering about slings and hand guards?

go with something more lightweight. a Eotech is perfect for a rifle but not for a pistol. too much weight when you can add something very similar. google "reflex sight" and you can find something cheaper and much more practical for a pistol AR.

as for handguards, find something in a quadrail. lots of options for mounting different accessories and a much better look as well.
YHM (Yankee Hill Machine) makes handguards with pistol versions. I am sure there are more but none coming to mind at the moment.
