    I signed up as a Bidder a few years ago to try to buy brass. The auctions on which we bid went for about double what we thought was our maximum bid. There just wasn't enough room to make money. Other items might go for less crazy prices.

    My brother had the same experience. He did pick up a few things though. All you can do is try.
