I suspect this one will go down the memory hole.

Keep in mind that they need certain criteria for a school shooting to be useful in pushing the anti gun narrative. In this case the body count is so low that in some definitions of "mass shooting" this doesn't even qualify (only 2 dead and one of those is the shooter).

But there's other criteria that will determine whether this one "has legs" or not.

• Race of the shooter ... if shooter is non-white it goes down the memory hole.
• Race of the victims ... if victims are same race as shooter (or white if non-white shooter) then down the hole.
• Motive: If shooting is targeted at specific individuals and not indiscriminate in nature, down the hole (unless targets are "bullies").
• Gang affiliation of shooter and/or victims? Down the hole
• Middle School kids aren't as valuable to the cause as grade school kids.
• Teachers are worth even less than children (apparently the two dead are 1 teacher and the shooter himself).

Again, I suspect this shooting doesn't advance the gun control narrative so it'll disappear pretty quickly.

No this one wont be used for banning so called assault weapons directly however it will be used. Examples safe gun storage of weapons and ammunition at home, school safety issues, crisis management, Incident Command etc. NO incident is wasted these days. Not downplaying the incident, violence is horrible but the media and the folks with agendas wont let it go to waste. Prolong the pain the community feels and fan the fires and the media and agenda seekers have some so called ammunition for the agenda. The impact will be felt more likely on a state and local level in Nevada. Colorado is a good example of that. There will be legislative action in Nevada no doubts.

I suspect Piers Nimrod is going to add this to "You never hear about this stuff happening in Britain, and yet, here it is happening in the US, again! Ban all guns you heartless, yankee bastards." Followed by my renewed vigor in deporting Piers to the surface of Mercury. No matter what, you will never keep everyone safe all of the time. Prayers to the community, but like we've discussed in detail after Sandy Hook- standing on the graves of the dead to push an agenda makes you no better than the shooter.
