I was thinking something like this. Mine was toes smashed when I back up to pull away from curb. That powerstroke makes for a heavy front end.

The unlawfulness of their actions is not in question. Taking any action other than driving away is what is in question.

I guess we'll just have to disagree. If someone is going to forcibly restrict my movement unlawfully, they will assume responsibility for the hurt they bring upon themselves.

Problem is, the responding LE is going to seek out if you had the opportunity to disengage from the situation (i.e. drive away) and call for police assistance. If you had that opportunity and failed to use it (in this case), and ended up getting into a fist fight over it, it's not going to look good for both parties involved. And don't forget, the news is going to twist it around and make it look like a 2nd Amendment freak beat the shit out of a poor liberal twat who was on their way to feed the homeless and bless babies. A life lived practicing avoidance is far better than out canvasing for trouble. Ask Zimmerman how well "looking for trouble" worked for him. If I'm out and about and some moron is going to try and block me from getting out of my car, If the opportunity is there, I'm just going to drive to another spot and park. Then, call police and press the issue from there. There are a million "what if's" we can factor in, but bottom line IF I am able to avoid the situation...I'm avoiding.

As much as I would be tempted otherwise, I would agree with Irving. What they are trying to do is goad people into escalating the situation to show off our supposed violent nature. They may be in the wrong, but starting a physical altercation would put you in a worse spot. Call the cops and drive forward a bit. Then just move on with your life and leave the petty people behind.

The Hudak supporters may be trying to bait you into a fight. When the cops arrive, they'll ALL say you just drove up and assaulted them. It'll be your word against many "witnesses".

Not if there is video. Then it will be swept under the rug and they will ignore it in the media.

    This is a good point.

The Left is heavily invested in making gun owners seem violent and dangerous--which would create a moral justification for confiscation. And if you think that isn't their end goal, you need to do some thinking...

It's damn hard to initiate violence against a peaceful people.
