    Default Ammo Can Storage

I've made a shelving unit to hold my 'ammo cans'. It's made of 2x12x8's (6ea), size is about 4' tall by 7' wide. Not much left over as far as scrap and can hold 48 of the larger cans. I used to have them on one of the steel shelving units that Lowe's/Home Depot have, but it started to bow on me. This unit should hold up well and wasn't much $$$ to build. I routed out the side peices so the shelves could fit inside and be screwed in place. Of course I had to paint it with an 'OD Green' type color.
Now I just need to get more ammo to fill it up

Actually, they're empty, time for a top off.

Circuits, your ammo stash brings a tear to my eye

Oops, my bad. Very nice shelf system you've made there.

Er, I, too was just trying to show my shelf solution - very reasonable if you have access to Grainger or some other industrial suppliers. They're modular and linkable, and rated at 1000lbs per shelf, 6 shelves (3 tons!) max per unit.

That unit was around $120 when I originally bought it, and they snap together completely without tools in just a few minutes.

I took me far too long to post this reply due to the excessive amolunt of drool all of the ammo you (Kyle) and Circuits have. I thought I was doing well in getting ammo but the two of you make me look like a rank amateur.

Kyle - that shelf assembly is very nicely done. What did you use to create those large labels on the ammo cans?
