Sir,
I am writing this e-mail in response to a change in your policy. I recently discovered that you have posted a sign notifying patrons that firearms are prohibited. As a long time resident of Colorado Springs, and a very enthusiastic patron of Jack Quinn’s, I am asking that this policy be rescinded. I am an active duty officer in the United States Army, have deployed to combat in Iraq three times and I am also a lawfully armed citizen. I choose to exercise my Constitutional 2nd Amendment right to be armed for self protection. I accept your right to deny patrons that carry firearms, but I sincerely ask that you reconsider this policy. People that choose to carry firearms legally are not criminals and do not endanger other citizens or your patrons. In fact, legally armed citizens are generally responsible, mature and likely to deter criminals.
Again, please reconsider this policy. I know one persons business doesn’t have a great financial impact on your business, but I am not alone in this position.
Very respectfully,
