    Default South of Parker here:

Hey folks, I've been lurking here and finally joined. I am a benchrester shooting 6PPCs for the last several years but jumped into the AR's when things started getting tight. I do most of my own work and have a mill and lathe down in the basement retreat. I've been reloading for about 50 years and have done just about anything wrong that can be done. Chamber my own barrels, and make my own jacketed target bullets. Great to be here and really enjoy this site. I've learned a ton and built a .223 AR using a benchrest take off barrel and have just finished a Taccom AR22. Thanks to everybody for all the great info.

Nah, I figure if things continue to deteriorate, it will be worth its weight in toilet paper, or bic lighters, or anti-biotics, etc, etc.

Yeah, I disassembled them in the garage and had the pieces all ready to go. I rented an electric stair climbing dolly and waited until the wife went to the mall. I had 3 buddies lined up and we brought everything in through the family room, across the dining room (cracked a couple of tiles) and down the stairs we went. Not to bad til we got to the base of the mill. I think it must have weighed about 900 lbs and I kept waiting for the stairs to collapse but we made it. It sure is nice to go down there on a snowy day and whittle out stuff.

Wow, hardcore! I was just kidding, I assumed you have a walk-out basement where it wouldn't have been too bad to get them in. I'm rebuilding/reconfiguring my old Harley and will likely need some spacers made. I may be looking for you one day!
