    Are under freezing every night for the next two weeks. I love winter.

    Change your furnace filters and clean those flame sensors!

    What is this "Flame Sensor" you speak of? (this coming from someone that has a 39yo furnace) And yes I do understand but it is an 80% and we just use it to take the chill off before the pellet stove fires up.

    Total gas-elect utility bill for the 6 month heating season (Nov-Apr) = $115 per month including pellets.

    I can't find the filter for our furnace. Are there models without filters, or is that a stupid question?

    Well they all should have a furnace filter. Whether or not it was installed properly with one, or the ability to have one is another question.

    If I provide the make and model, might you be able to provide me with suggestions of where to look? The intake is from the bottom, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the filter is pinned below the entire unit...

    Thankfully just got the hot tub repaired and am refilling it. Bring it on!
