So does everyone pretty much hate the 250? That's the only SIG I have experience with.

I love my P250. I have two FCUs, so basically two different guns whenever I want. I have full sized, compact, and sub-compact x-change kits in .40 S&W and .357 SIG. The take down lever pops our to remove the FCU from the frame. Put the FCU into the sized grip frame you desire. Replace the take down lever and reassemble like any normal semi-auto.

The DAO trigger is very long but very smooth. It is the smoothest, non-gunsmithed trigger I've ever felt. Shooting the pistol gives the same feel in each size because the trigger is the same. It reminds me of a high capacity revolver.

I regularly carry my sub-compact P250 in .357 SIG. It makes a great summer gun.

There is almost no way to compare classic SIG P series pistols to the P250. They are just very different handguns.

I thought the same thing about the DOA trigger. It sure is long, but it sure is smooth for what it is.
My dad wanted a gun right after Newtown and when we went to Green Mountain guns, they had a 250 in 40 and one other used gun on the shelf, so that's what we got.

Not to start a caliber debate, but the ability to swap between .357 SIG and .40 S&W with only a barrel swap is what sold me on the combination. 9mm and .45 ACP are fine calibers, but I don't know of any other combination that is easier to make a pistol more useful.

The P229 came out with the stainless slide for the hotter 40S&W and 357Sig rounds. The 229 frame is slightly wider too, and has a square trigger guard. if you have a 229 or 228 in 9mm it will take 226 mags, but cant go the other way obviously. I like the P228 and P226 as stainless is not as easy or as many options to refinish and more important its lighter (P228 vsP228). The P220 is another excellent option if you want a single stack 45acp, and they make compact versions now. If I could buy 5 Sigs it would be 210,239,228,226 and 220(no specific order). -- the Sig M11A1 is basically a P229 from what ive seen and read on other forums, and its Sig being good at marketing as with the MK25 as well, we had very few with rails. But anyway that's the basics if I remember right
    Nice work!

The new P227 is on my short list after the hotness and price settles.

I wouldn't kick a P220 SAO out of bed though.

Brutal: Here is at least one place that is selling the P227 at a reasonable price.

    I just bought another 1989 P226.

Gun fund is dry for a bit again.
