Well crap! It looks like just when things are going good for the Avalanche, something bad has to happen. Goaltender, Semyon Varlamov turned himself in to DPD on domestic violence related charges from yesterday. One count of 2nd degree kidnapping (F4), and one count of 3rd degree assault (M1).
More from 9news: http://www.9news.com/news/article/36...turns-self-in-KUSA - Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov turned himself in Wednesday night to Denver Police detectives for domestic violence related charges.
According to DPD information officer Sgt. Steve Warneke, the arrest stems from an Oct. 29 conflict, and an arrest warrant was issued. Varlamov has been charged with third-degree assault and second-degree kidnapping.
If anyone remembers, Patrick Roy, then a goalie as well, had DV related charges (Criminal mischief) dismissed back in 2000... Let's hope this gets cleared up, especially with our 10-1 record right now.
