My father in law just called me. He does a lot with IT and his company sent out a memo that a massive malware was released today or yesterday. It is military grade and I think he am said higher than 64bit encryption?
Anyways, cafereful with emails if you Dont know who they are or if they seem strange.

Since we're talking about viruses watch out for CryptoLocker http://blog.malwarebytes.org/intelli...-need-to-know/

It encrypts all of your files including any files you have access to on network shares, external drives, etc. It is ransomware and there is no way you are ever getting access to your files without paying the ransom. We've had several Engineers in the field get hit with this one and it is UGLY. If you have important files you need to make an external backup; cloud backup services won't help since they will just backup the encrypted files.
