So, on my wishlist right now I have (for Remington R1 1911-probably in this order):
1. Wilson Combat Lo-Mount Adjustable Rear Sight, Bo-Mar Cut, Tritium and
Snag-Free Front Sight, Tritium, .150" (I'm not completely certain as to the height of the front sight-I'm shooting pretty low right now, so I'll have to measure and adjust)
2. DP 1911 Single Stack No Gap Ice Magwell with Arched Aluminum Mainspring Housing, Black
3. Ambidextrous safety-This is where the question comes into play. The Swenon safety has solid reviews and its 83 vs the Wilson bulletproof at 145, with rave reviews. I know you get what you pay for, but is the extra 60 necessary in a safety? I dont mind paying for quality, I just want to make sure I'm doing it wisely.
Thanks for your input.
