I'd ask her for the money, but that's me. You know sometime during dinner it's going south, he knows it, why ruin dinner.
One time way back when someone in the family asked, why i needed to carry, all the time. As our dad 'chimed in" with his $0.05, our daughter politely said. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS. No raised voice, no anger, just the question. That's when our dad said, You tell em Kid. Dinner went off without a hitch, after that. But we're, or use to be, a very large family , there was always some arm wrestling at the table.
