Default Family health insurance notification last week.

Anyone else? After holding the same police for nearly 15 years, paying upwards of 7600 a year, I was given notice my police with no longer be in compliance with the AFA. It has been climbing in price for the past 4 years. Really pissed off. Anyone else been cancelled and what are your plans if so?

Obviously, you're wrong. Because I heard the president say several times over many months, "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. If you like your health plan you can keep your health plan. Period."

You should probably re-read the letter until you understand.

On a serious note, sorry you fell victim to the BS, I think many of us are just waiting for the letters...

Mine is also cancelled at the end of the year. I'm still holding out hope I can find a real job with real insurance. If not I may be forced to enroll in Oblamer care. Not sure what else to do, but I haven't looked into it yet. From what I've seen all the AFA is is just catastrophic insurance, with the high deductables it doesn't really do me any good unless i have a heart attack or get cancer, I'll still be paying for everything out of pocket.

    Someone educate me.

I received the notice a while ago as well. For mine, I was able to keep it for another year before it is canceled completely.

There are different levels of insurance in the market place - starting with Bronze (I think) and going up to Platinum. The better the coverage, the higher the level, and of course price. They should all include preventive care and coverage for things like heart attacks and cancer - your level depends on how much of a deductible you will have and your total coverage.

It will likely be more expensive than what you're paying right now unless your income is low enough to qualify for tax rebates.

That is what mine is right now. Catastrophic, 6500 deductible. I pay for all office visits and full payment for services and prescriptions. That privilege cost me 7600 a year right now.

I'm sorry to hear some of our members are feeling the pain already. I don't think it will be more than a year and many more of us will be getting forced off our employers plans to the market as well.

If you don't travel out of state often, look at one of the PPO, HMO's.

Myself and our daughters are currently covered under my wife's employer coverage. We just went through the sign-up process as usual.

But I imagine that next year we will be told that costs are so high that her employer will be dropping coverage.

It is Marxist-Mulim Obama's plan. This is not ineptitude, stupidity, lack of understanding of healthcare. This is a well thought-out plan to get the government in control.

I received my letter back in August. I knew it was coming, they kept sending letters changing my plan and price to meet the ACA requirements. Turns out Rocky Mountain Health Plans has dropped all their grandfathered and non grandfathered plans.

I've been searching for insurance, but all the plans I find are on the exchange. Even plans I find that are offered by specific carriers are the same as the plans on the exchange.

I contacted a health insurance broker and he over enthusiastically told me how much ACA was going to save me and what a large tax payer subsidy I qualify for (almost 200 a month). I really don't want a plan that is tax payer subsidized, but the plans are so expensive I'm not sure I can afford one without the subsidy.

I have about 45 days to figure out what to do about healthcare.
