The SD card isn't "locked", is it? Mine have a tiny little switch on them to lock them, they won't do shit if that switch gets moved. Learned that the hard way.

Nope. I checked that as I was hoping that was the problem. I have never locked any of my SD cards and couldn't do it accidentally since they take some considerable effort to slide that tiny switch.

Some of the older cameras are not compatible with the higher Capasity cards.

This is a new Bushnell game camera ( two months old) and it'll easily handle SD cards of a much higher capacity so we can rule that out.

Oh yeah, I have one other SD card exactly like the dead one but it works perfectly in both the game camera and the Nikon.
The dead one can now be a target but at a ten foot range.
