    Default Proposal Ideas?

So I know a guy, who is not very creative. So hopefully I can get some ideas for him here, because neither am I.

Him and his Lady have been living together for going on 5 years now. They have been living as hubby/wife for 2 years or so, and he has recently bought a ring after saving that he feels she deserves, and he knows she would really like to wear it.

He wants to do something nice and ask her for real and eventually have a real wedding after the savings grows so he is going to pop the question. He is in the metro area.

Sorry to be a downer but.... From your description, it sounds more like he is asking her because of guilt and feelings of obligation. I don't think that is a reason to get married. Hopefully I am just reading it from the wrong perspective.

Naaa he is very happy, he just recently was able to afford the token and thought it would be nice she have it.

Give her the ring, get married on the budget. use money saved on lavish wedding for a better place to live, like own instead of rent.

Why do people want BIG Weddings? The pric etags for some of them like my sisters and niece are insane. They spent more than our first home cost.

They just bought a house, and have settled financially. They have no family and very few friends here so they would pretty much just fly their parents out here for something small anyways.

Thanks Jim I agree with your suggestion.

Extra points to suggestions that are not pricey. :-D

What kind of hobbies/activities/interests do they have?

You can have nice weddings on a fairly small budget. My wife and I just did it. She did A LOT of work to cut costs and we did A LOT of shopping around/finding deals but it was all worth it. There is something to be said to have a fun/nice wedding. Hopefully, it's a one time event so make it memorable. Just don't go broke doing it.

if budget is a primary concern. I suggest procuring strippers OOPS "EXOTIC DANCERS" from CL and not some agency with good reviews.

Well right now between the two of them hobbies include taking care of several children so they don't get much time to themselves, mostly the reason for why they don't have many people they hang out with. They haven't really gotten to that wedding stage yet, he is trying to put together some nice way of giving her the ring he bought.

Is she thinking a ring is coming soon? If so, may have to get a bit more creative to "surprise" her.

Honestly I don't think she does. They both are pretty happy and I don't glean from her that she is really expectant of anything anytime soon.
