but Z, why would you rather sit the election out instead of voting for a party that more accurately represents your values? Not trolling, it's an honest question.
Like the Bush's and Romney's that have actually passed real laws that have reduced our gun rights and wine and dine the Giffords' of the world?

I voted for McCain/Palin and Romney/Ryan in the last two elections. Seeing the destruction that Beeho has caused our country, I will continue to vote for the lesser of 2 evils, even if it is Krispy. While I would prefer a Paul/Cruz ticket most of all, I don't think that would win just yet. Key now is control the grassroots beginning with precincts to elect better leadership to the county and state party. Elect conservative county, state, and federal representatives. Conservatives don't have to have a majority in congress to start to control what happens. Just a "large enough" caucus of 30-40 in the house and 10 or so in the senate. I believe we are moving in that direction, and Beehocare represents a golden opportunity to get the needed surge - but only if the pub leadership doesn't steal defeat from the jaws of victory as they have done countless times.

I would NOT be happy about voting for Krispie Kream, not happy at all. But I would do it.

Under no circumstances will I cast a vote for that "republican". The country is bad enough, the last thing we need is the whole damn thing to turn into New Jersey. If you are going to vote for an east coast democrat, you might as well vote for the one that at least has D after their name.

It's the illusion of choice. You want candidate A or B. but the people don't really decide who A or B is.

Here we go AGAIN with all "the voting for the lesser of two evils" bullshit which has helped us get to where we are in this country. Wake up! Forget the party line crap and vote for someone who will espouse your ideals, and will follow the constitution, no matter which party they belong to.

I'm still waiting for Z's answer.

It sounds to me like "the Bush's and Romney's that have actually passed real laws that have reduced our gun rights and wine and dine the Giffords' of the world" isn't the party that best represents your values. My question is this: instead of abstaining from the vote, why not show your dissent by voting for a candidate or party that actually represents your values?

I've made that same argument election after election and in some cases you're right (for example I believe Romney would have been an ok president ... no better or worse than Bush, but clearly no Reagan or Coolidge).

But at this point if the GOP picks Christy I believe that's it, there is no more chance for positive change through the political system and we're left with collapse, slavery and war.

If its some other mealy mouthed moderate Republican I may still vote for them ... but not Chris Christy.

Chris Christy is not a moderate, he's every bit as liberal as Obama himself ... if he runs he'll likely lose and then we'll have Hillary (or worse) for 4-8 years ... the country doesn't survive that. If he happens to win I believe he'll be almost as bad as Hillary and again the country doesn't survive (and by "not survive" I mean no longer be a free, constitutional republic ... we'll still exist but we'll be subjects of a totalitarian collectivist state, not free and sovereign citizens ... of course if there's a lot of unrest here and abroad, our weakness may attract invasion from the Chinese or Russians ... the end of the Pax-Americana will likely be worse than WWII).

Reagan said that we're never more than one generation away from tyranny. Well I believe that generation is out of college now, buying houses and starting families ... and those children they are having are not going to know life in a free America unless re reverse course HARD and FAST.

I tell you what, I'll vote for Christy if he pulls a McCain and picks a Cruz-like candidate for his running mate ... then pray every night that he drops dead of a heart attack.

Thanks for the response. I mostly agree.

The only thing I would contest is invasion, but I guess if we didn't have a unified front for national policy and defense, anything could happen.
