    Default Ultra light AR

The wife is starting to get back to normal from multiple back surgeries. Been shooting a little pistol and starting some rifle but she has complained about the weight of everything except the .22's.

Need opinions/recommendations for an ultra light upper to go with the light weight lower(Omni poly w/ PSA lower parts kit and stock) I already have.

I bought a 5 lbs AR from rob at bowers. Pencil barrel m4 upper, chopped down cav arms lower, Milled Bcg and so on. I spotted another chopped lower at bowers couple weeks ago,
maybe Rob can help you with parts.

Will stop by and see what they can do. Gotta make cost an issue, otherwise she has to decide if she is willing to part with something else, which is highly unlikely.

Would she do well with that rifle Spleify showed you at the last match?

Light weight barrel, moe hand guards, poly, if you have 20 round mags.

You can get a 5.56 build under 4 pounds if you're really trying.

Suddenly, though, .223 seems to have some recoil to it, after all.

Pencil barrel with a mid-length gas system. Add light weight components from there. My 'semi-precision' gun weighed in at around 6.5 lbs (no optic) and that's with a 16" heavy super-match barrel.

Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

    ^^^Nice handguard.

We build a 16" lightweight upper that is also very soft in recoil. Mated with a Poly lower you will be just over 5 pounds. Put something like a Burris FFIII on it and you will still be under 5.5 pounds, but still very accurate and well balanced. Feel free to send me a PM if you would like more info.
