Default Anyone pull a muscle from constant coughs?

Sounds like intercostal muscles to be exact. But every time I cough now I'd get a crazy sharp pain to lower right chest. Going to docs soon to be certain.

Yeah had major coughs with a cold. But I'm no longer sick. And doesn't hurt when I take deep breaths so not too worried.

It's possible, though worrisome. I think many years back Sammy Sosa pulled a muscle in his lower back from a sneezing fit. However, he was coming off steroid use, so his muscles would have been more susceptible to pulls and tears.

Yep, strained a abdominal muscle once, barely able breath as the coughing was so bad. Went to the emergency room and they gave me a shot that knocked me down a little and relaxed me to the point I could breath the Oxygen they put me on. They put me in antibiotics and everything cleared up in about 4 to 5 days. It was scary.

My dad did a long time ago. Problem is you can't rest and so just keep doing damage. It looked like it really hurt. I would get it looked at quickly if possible. Urgent care is not emergency (cost is lower) and is many times quicker than a normal doctors office visit. I did not know about these till my wife found out about them.
