Packages gone from porch - Any Options

Had a package from Natchez scheduled for delivery today, and wife says FedEx pulled up the driveway and then leaves.
Tracking said it was left on front porch. She goes out to make sure, no package and no foot prints anywhere in the snow.
I had her call FedEx and open a case. I've had FedEx show up and the package wasn't on the truck for some reason, but it sure as hell didn't say left on porch in the tracking notes.

I can't help you "fix" this issue.

I CAN help you prevent it w/o any expenses.

I have been able to ask FEDEX and UPS to "HOLD FOR PICKUP".
Some items can be held at local "Stations" ; other types of items have to be held at the "MAIN DEPOT/WAREHOUSE".

Yes, I have to wait until I can find time to pick it up, but it IS THERE.

Quite convenient when it is at a local "station" ; just show an ID and leave .
Never had any extra charges, either.
Sometimes you can "log on" to their website and select where to have it "HELD".
Easy as pie ...
