I can't believe 'ole Dudley has not been sending out emails about it...you know "HIS" idea for the petition ....

Also, I am surprised that places like Bass Pro, SW, and Cabela's aren't on the list.
Anyone know if their will be "petition gatherers" at any of these places over the Black Friday weekend ?

With the upcoming Christmas shopping frenzy, I'd think they would be IDEAL places to host a "petition gathering" session.
I can see why they might not want their employees involved in collecting signatures, like the smaller shops are doing, but I can't see why they would not allow non-employee "Petition Gatherers" to do it in a peaceable manner.

If they ARE going to allow such activity, they should be listed on the FB page ...AND on this site.

Bowers didn't want a petition. I was there the day the representative was trying to get them on board with it. I ended up signing it at Rapid Fire Bunker.

What foolishness? Shall we have our rights taken away every time the dems are in office and only getting them back either going through a state wide petition process or waiting until the repubs control the state again? That sounds like insanity to me.

No wonder we always lose our rights as a community. We're so skeptical as a community that nobody thinks they can pass anti-gun legislation so the majority don't lift a finger. Then everyone bitches about it relentlessly like they had no idea it was a possibility. Then, once we get some better numbers, we make a move to get those freedoms back and all the skeptics come to say why getting our freedoms back is a bad thing. Uhhmmm the other option is to not get them back at all. Good thinking. Everyone in this community (not the COAR15.com community specifically) is SO hell-bent on being the smart guy who points out shit that isn't even there that we're out thinking ourselves. Meanwhile the libs (idiots according to most in this community) are passing shit left and right and slowly gobbling up our freedoms. They don't worry about the ramifications of the laws they want beforehand they just act. They act and they win because all the pro-constitution people are too skeptical and too smart apparently. I couldn't imagine being in politics with my beliefs because you would never please anyone. If you want to be a Dem the Republicans will hate you but the Dems will blindly support and love you. If you want to run as a Republican the Dems will obviously hate you but the Republicans will hate you too because when you introduce bills to try to regain rights they think you're out to take even more of their guns. Open your damn eyes people!

The more time I spend talking to 'gun people' the more I think it's a lost cause.

No, it's amazing that people that want to get a petition signed would limit themselves to using FB as it's sole method of exposure. Especially when you considder the obvious leanings of FB, and the fact that a good section of the gun rights community refuses to use FB (and thereby boosting FB's bottom dollar) when they are clearly not in the pro 2A camp.

Hit the nail in the head, pretty much why NFA laws are still sitting nicely.

Are we just giving up on social media and let the Liberals say whatever they like on there unchecked?

Course not. I see many here enjoying a good troll session on anti FB pages. I also see complaints about censorship on those same pages. They control the meesage on their sites, no way around that one.

ROFL at the 'obvious leanings' of people on Facebook. Listen you can label shit you've never even tried yourself all day long or you can listen to those who have actually USED it for years now. I have over 700 'friends' and I'm guessing maybe a few dozen aren't in line with my ideals. Heck, I can easily cite many instances where thanks to calm and well thought out posts I've even converted some that were against us before. It's a social outlet which means it's literally whatever YOU make of it. You don't like someone's viewpoint or post style? Unfriend them and move on with life. I don't understand how some people manage to get through life so afraid of technology and how it's going to take over their thoughts and make them start pulling the lever for (D)

Seriously, why are you anti FB? Sum it up in 15 words or less.

What is foolishness is refusing to support this amendment because of the inclusion of the "EXCEPT A LAW ENACTED BY A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE" language because even if its not included it still applies. If you remove that verbiage Democrats can STILL put together a state wide petition to get yet another constitutional amendment into the Colorado Constitution that reverses our mag ban reversal (this is why I think it's just too damn easy to amend the CO Constitution ... but that's another long and contentious argument).
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".
