I guess my having an FFL has buffered me against such inquiries, since I rarely order less than 10k at a time.

1000rds that's a slow weekend
I never keep more than a box or two of that kind of stuff. It's just too dangerous. That "assault rifle" ammo can sneak up on you in the middle of night and then you're toast!![]()
And all I thought I had to worry about was the UPS guy complaining about throwing out his back.
Besides those guys in the North Hollywood shoot, whats the average round count?
Most classes are at least 1000 rounds, plus I think that most people think that a 1000 is a huge box, when for .223 or 9mm, it really isn't.
I wonder if it being in New York State had anything to do with it. I wonder if you ordered a lot of paper if DHS would come by and ask you about excercising your 1st Amendment rights, locks for your door for the 3rd Amendment, and your lawyers number for the 5th Amendment.
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.
It's for sale. You won't like the price. No-one likes the price.
But, if you need it, I've got it.

Funny, when I applied for my FFL, had to send copy to local chief of police. I called him to discuss prior to just giving him a surprise, and his comments were basically, "I don't' mind if you are selling guns, however I'm concerned about people storing un-safe quantities of ammunition and would object if you carry more than 500 rounds". WTF, I probably spit my coffee all over my desk at the time, 500 rounds! Wondered how many rounds they keep on hand at the police department considering it was across the street from my neighborhood. Guess the local LEO's may have empty magazines. [CLICK]
