Attention All Those Who Play Call of Duty: Ghosts on XBOX 360 or One

For those that have this game and aren't yet in a clan you're missing out on free stuff just for being in a clan. Ghosts is unique to the previous CoD games in that there is a lot of focus on clans and they're saving a lot of the unlocks for clan rewards. They've also made it so that you don't have to do special clan matches in order to get these. The only requirement is that you be in a clan and you'll get stuff just for playing the normal matchmaking games that you're currently playing. You and your clan get credit for games played as long as you're in a clan. For example, there are character helmets, uniforms, heads, weapon camos, patches, backgrounds and all sorts of things you can ONLY get from being in a clan. You also get other perks from being in a clan and for instance all of our clan members are getting 30% player XP bonus just for playing match making games. Clan Wars has started and there are LOTS of bonuses and perks and the best part is you don't have to play the clans that you're matched up against heads up to participate. The way you play just by continuing to play the match making games you're already playing. Doesn't get much more simple than that. The best part is that when you play you earn points for the clan and even when you're not playing those in the clan earn points and unlocks for YOU while you're not even playing. Pretty cool, right?


In summary, if you're not in a clan you SHOULD be in a clan because you have nothing to lose and all sorts of stuff to gain just for playing the game you already play the way you already plan to play it.


Our clan has open roster positions and if you're interested PM me or post here and we'll consider you for one of them. Our clan has a k/d avg of 1.75 and our win % is over 70% so we're not just looking to take anyone and everyone but will consider mature individuals with a mic that communicate well (read: call outs and teamwork NOT screaming and shouting because you feel like raging) and play on either Xbox platform; 360 or One. Our clan is mostly 360 right now but we do have members playing on the One and many are moving over to that platform in the next month or so as well. Once more of us are on the One we'll recruit more for the One so if you play on the One and have friends you play with you can help to recruit for the One and make the clan better. The more we have the more stuff we get so if you're not in a clan, here's your chance!

I like that Clan mechanic, hopefully they don't make it too easy for people to just create a silly quick clan for 5 minutes. How many people can be in a clan?

Not to derail your thread like you asked, but I wish more people played on the PC platform! (I realize it's *infinitely* easier for people to plunk down the $250-400 for a single console that now has impressive media capability, rather than spend close to $1,000 to get a decent gaming PC that requires lots of peripheral shit [monitors, mouse, keyboard, speakers/headphones])

I grew up playing with Keyboard & Mouse and just can't 'drop down' to playing with an IMO limiting console controller : (

I've played CoD since CoD3 and this is the first game where I actually care about the clan feature. This is the first time they got it right IMO and making it just gravy w/o needing to play clans head to head and get all competitive is a super nice touch IMO. Just ranking up and unlocking stuff as a group for playing is how it should be really.

I don't like PC gaming for the reasons you mentioned. I don't want to have to buy a $300 video card every year to get the best graphics, textures and shading possible. I like how the consoles have a less fragmented dev core coding for them and the result is a more uniform gamin experience for ALL users. I also don't like having to sit in front of a PC when I have nice home theater setups in my home that a console just works better for. As for the battlefield series, I honestly think it's the best looking FPS out there. That being said it's garbage on the console. You really need a nice PC to take advantage of it and if you do it pays off but this isn't as easy for most gamers. For console play it's the CoD franchise IMO but both are fantastic shooters.

I love PC, I just switched over. But to simplify everything it is hooked to my TV through HDMI just like an xbox, and I can hook it to my cable box and have a DVR. For $8 I got a module that lets me use my xbox controllers, and not to mention steam and origin sales where I get newish games for next to nothing all the time. I got farcry 3 the other day for $7; PC is the way to go for sure.

But back to the OP, do you play BF4 as well? I would be interested to hear a balanced perspective from someone who plays both. I got pissed at MW3 and both BO's sucked badly mostly because of the run and gun assholes that you have to play against that kill you across the map with a friggin hatchet.

Using an Xbox controller on a PC against other PC players using the mouse/keyboard combo puts you at a sizable disadvantage. That would be the only downside to that setup.

I only play between 10-midnight, when the kids are sleeping and I've done everything around the house. But my GT is BCMJunkie. I have a shitty k/d ratio, only started play with blackops II in Sept 2013.
