Have you checked out the smartphone app "BF4 Stats"? I have my phone next to me while playing and between games (after the save icon goes away during load) I can check my progress with weapons, battlepacks, and other stuff that directly connects through BattleLog... It's pretty sweet and helps me to plan my games (I usually go between Assault and Sniper classes depending on the level) and progress before switching to the next weapon in the list.

Yeap! I love it, and also the new feature of find a game and choose it from the battle log is awesome, a lot better than find a game by the console

I suggest you do NOT go with either BF or Ghosts if all you play is the campaign. They're MP games first and foremost and buying them with no plans to play MP doesn't make sense.

COD4 had the best singleplayer of any COD game, and MW2 had the best multiplayer, IMO...

    We'll agree to disagree.

For the record, my clan and I recently went back and played ALL CoD titles going back to CoD4 and I was amazed by how b0rk those versions were. I often hear 'version XYZ' was the best of that series and it's generally from those who haven't played the game at length for a few years. Time has a way of smoothing over all the bumps and the good times tend to shine through. Go back and play them and I doubt you will say that the MW2 MP was the best. Like it or not each subsequent version of CoD (and Halo & BF for that matter) fixed small issues with the game (not the bugs either) and played better moving forward. Even the new CoD: Ghosts which is getting negative reviews at a higher rate has fixed LOTs of issues that Blops2 had but you don't see those reviewing it mentioning that. Let's face it, you don't make name for yourself by agreeing with the masses that something is good. You make a name for yourself by being critical where being critical doesn't need to be. IMO this latest version of Ghosts fixes a LOT of the issues that Blops2 had which fixed issues that MW3 had and so on going back all the way to the beginning. I was shocked by how rough those games were in comparison when we went back over the last few months to play each version's MP at length.

As far as single players go.... Death From Above may be one of the greatest levels of any video game ever and it's completely in black and white. lol

Neither Blops game was that good, IMO. The stories were weak, the guns sounded and felt wrong.

I am playing through the Infinity Ward CODs again, and just completed Death from Above. About to start the air assault on the capitol of Genericstan.

The Treyarch versions of the game haven't been very good IMO for various reasons. One basic reason you touched on... the audio. For some reason Treyarch HATES 'sound whores' and makes it a point to remove sound ques from the game that could possibly give someone with a headset or a nice surround sound system an advantage. To me that so just SO backwards thinking and removes a HUGE aspect of a video game. I mean, what's next, are they going to make the game in 480p & 30fps so that those with better displays don't get an advantage over those who don't? It's just idiotic. It's kind of like the way that overly aggressive netcode (read: lag compensation) punishes those with good internet connections. This is an entirely separate topic so I won't get into that right now but Infinity Ward embraces audio and has done some VERY innovative things with audio and the BF series is the same way in this aspect. It makes the game immersive and Treyarch is really missing the bus on this aspect of gaming as well as a few others. I disklike Treyarch because they seem to hate gamers. lol

But this is a discussion about BF so I should just keep my CoD opinions to myself. lulz

I'm still waiting on Bad Company 3. BC2 was so superior to the last two EA cash cows it's ridiculous.

I play on PC as well. Maybe we just need to get a good squad together on here. I play with my brother sometimes but he is stationed in Germany and it is hard to get time to play. It is friggin frustrating to play solo on any of the maps. I saw some questions about the single player. I beat the entire campaign for BF4 on hard in about 3 hours. Not that much to it and honestly the story sucked. Bad. I make it a point to play the campaign because it used to mean something and had a cool story, but BF4 is completely MP centered. This is the way that it should be though because that is why everyone buys the game.

If you guys want to start a squad sometime I would be in. I have everything unlocked for engineer, but have not done much with any of the other classes. I just hate getting killed by helicopters so unlocking all the launchers has been my focus. I can not fly anything to save my life.
