    This guy was doing less then 50mph according to the police report. Crazy things can happen.

    Yes he wasn't going very fast but also understand that his car did what it should have in that impact. The "tub" was still intact, the rear subframe snapped off it, but the tub remained in place. In order for you to crack a CF tub in half you need to be moving fast.

    It broke the same way, right in front of the "K member". The bodies were still in the "tub" and front half of the car. As for cracking any laminate, they are not strong torsionally.
