You don't know that the guy killed the thief because he was stealing something. It could have very easily turned into a self-defense situation. Besides, your property is the manifestation of your labor. I'm not saying it's worth killing somebody over stuff, but I don't feel bad for a thief who gets killed in the act.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

A coworker went to the game, at first I was like man I hope it wasn't him for wearing bronco stuff. Then I realized it would have read BREAKING: 2 dead, 1 in custody.
Because the city's are fairly close many travel to the games. I think all in all there is some respect between the two. I wore my Broncos stuff back in the 80's to Arrowhead and it was always a good ribbing. I did notice many orange jerseys in the crowd tonight.

Thief should have considered that before hand. He assumed the risk.

Not to take anyone's defense, but we don't know the facts yet, so best not to judge yet. The news media fabricates a lot of stuff(I know, who'd a thought?), and only tells what will sell. It could have been an altercation that lead to this, and they blamed it on an attempted theft and fight to cover their tracks. It could have easily been catching a crime in progress, and the deadbeat scum took to fighting or brandishing a weapon. Death for theft alone is a bit strong, however the criminal assumed that risk when he decided to break the law. If he was stealing, all he had to do was not steal and there wouldn't have been a problem.

Likely scenario: Father and son leave the game a couple of minutes early to beat the crowd. They happen upon the thief in the act, and the thief either attacks or brandishes a weapon in an attempt to escape, and it ended badly for him.

Homicide is not necessarily murder. It simply means that one person directly caused the death of another.

Agreed that facts are not known. But hearts are being exposed by the posts. I am not only a believer in the philosophy of how society treats it's criminals and the idea of a punishment should equal the crime, I am a benefactor of it. I like the jury system and surely want to see a TRIAL and judgement.

Jeep had a good sticker on it!

I'm curious what really happened. If he was trying to steal the jeep or contents inside, then good riddance,
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

10 bucks says tweaker OD'd and just happened to be in the middle of a fight with someone who just found the tweaker had broken into his car, when the ol ticker gave up the ghost.

The report in the video says no outward signs of use of a weapon or blunt object.

If that's what happened, then, good riddance, you reap what you sow.
