Default How to make a paracord lanyard?

I want to make a lanyard out of 550 paracord. Does anyone have any experience or styles that they like to use? Also I want mine to be about 15 inches long so how much paracord do I need?

You can also check out this guy's blog. He makes all kind of stuff out of 550 cord.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

Anyone ever put a button compass into a bracelet/lanyard?

I used a similar tactic to make a paracord rifle sling for my marlin 795. Fun to build, plus it is useful.

I would imagine it would be all tension in the knot, couldn't imagine it being to hard. Just find the center and make that knot tight. If you have the compass or I can hit up a surplus store this weekend I will make you one.

Thanks. I have some compasses, just haven't had the time to try it yet. I'll likely end up making the knot for fitment, loosening it, then line it with super glue for final placement.
